DEMASIADOS CRISTIANOS SE QUEDAN SUMERGIDOS EN SU AFLICCION TOTALMENTE

Para muchos creyentes, el tocar fondo significa el final. Llegan a abrumarse de
tal manera de sus fracasos que los conduce a sentirse devaluados. Con el tiempo
se sienten atrapados y sin ayuda. Isaías escribió acerca de estos creyentes,
"¡Pobrecita, fatigada con tempestad, sin consuelo!" (Isaías 54:11).

Algunos, eventualmente se enojan con Dios. Se cansan de esperar a que El actúe
así que claman con un tono acusador, "Señor, ¿dónde estabas cuando te
necesitaba? Clamé a ti para que me liberaras pero tú nunca me respondiste. He
hecho todo lo que pude hacer pero aún no soy libre. ¡Estoy cansado de
arrepentirme y de llorar sin poder ver ningún cambio!" Muchos creyentes
simplemente se rinden y se entregan a los deseos de la carne.

Otros, caen en un estupor de apatía espiritual. Ellos se convencen de que Dios
no está interesado más en ellos. Se dicen a sí mismos, "Mi camino está
escondido de Jehová, y de mi Dios pasó mi juicio" (Isaías 40:27). "Me dejó
Jehová, el Señor se olvidó de mí" (Isaías 49:14).

Así también existen otros creyentes que terminan enfocando toda su atención
en el fracaso para mantenerse en un estado constante de culpabilidad. Sin
embago, esto solamente les provoca desconcierto y los lleva a clamar ,
"Nuestras rebeliones y nuestros pecados están sobre nosotros, y a causa de
ellos somos consumidos: ¿cómo, pues, viviremos?" (Ezequiel 33:10).

The fact is, feeling conviction is not an end in itself. When we're humbled by
guilt and sorrow over our sin, we're not supposed to rest in those feelings.
They're meant to drive us to the end of ourselves-and to the victory of the
cross!

Pero en la realidad, el sentimiento de culpa no es un fin en sí mismo. Cuando
somos humillados por la culpa y el dolor de nuestro pecado, no debemos
permanecer en estos sentimientos. Por el contrario éstos deben conducirnos a
tocar fondo - ¡y a la victoria de la cruz!
